10 In-Demand Holiday Toys to Stash Away Right Now

Each year, there are a handful of toys that become increasingly hard to find as the holidays draw near. Don’t be the person who waits until the last minute to try to find them. Instead, be a savvy shopper and stash away 2018’s hottest toys today. They’re all available through Ebates, so you’ll get Cash Back on all the best products.

Pikmi Pops Giant Flips

Parents, meet the new Hatchimals. I see these things advertised everywhere — especially when watching “Paw Patrol” with our daughter. These cotton candy–looking tufts transform from fluffy puff balls to stuffed animals that look like a cross between Trolls and unicorns. Target is currently out of stock, and other retailers are likely to follow. Stash one away now, since they’re sure to be one of the most popular toys of 2018.

Hatchimals Hatchibabies

The Hatchimals craze isn’t over. The hot toy for this year is Hatchibabies, which are an advanced version of the original Hatchimals. Each egg hatches into a boy or a girl and comes with accessories such as a brush, bottle or cuddle toy. The boys and girls come in different colors for an added layer of surprise. If they are anywhere close to as popular as the original Hatchimals (they are), they’ll go fast. Stock up now.

“Paw Patrol” Ultimate Fire Truck

If you have kids, you know about “Paw Patrol.” Our daughter is enamored with Marshall and the rest of the crew. This year, the “Paw Patrol” Ultimate Fire Truck is guaranteed to be on plenty of wish lists, so plan accordingly.

Fingerlings Untamed Raptor

Miniatures seem to be the hot new thing, and Fingerlings are near the top of the food chain in that category. With “Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom” dominating the box office this summer, I’m betting this Fingerlings Raptor will be one of the most popular toys for kids this holiday season.

Lego Hogwarts Castle

OK, this one might be on my list as well. Just look at how cool that castle is. When I was a kid, the Lego pirate ship was the set to have. Today, kids get 6,000 pieces of fun to keep them busy for hours. This pick is pricey, but it’ll be in demand during the holidays.

Nerf N-Strike Thunderhawk

I can’t wait for the day that I can play with Nerf guns with my daughter. She’s too young now, but when she’s older, we’ll have a Nerf arsenal. The biggest and baddest Nerf around is the N-Strike Thunderhawk — it’s 41 inches from end to end, comes with 10 darts and shoots up to 30 feet.

LeapFrog Scoop and Learn Ice Cream Cart

We have this toy in our house, and it’s a big hit. When we first opened it, I was amazed at all the interactive features. You can use the scoop to pick up different flavors of ice cream and the cart knows which flavor you have. There’s also a cash register, a pump for toppings and a bell to let everyone in the house know ice cream is ready.

Hot Wheels Corkscrew Crash Track

Pull out the pocketbook and get a little nostalgic when you buy this updated version of Hot Wheels’ classic track set. The goal is to launch cars without crashing into the others racing around the track. It’s one of the best toys for kids this year.

L.O.L. Surprise! House

Move over, Barbie dream house. This is the dollhouse of the future. All the cool kids know about L.O.L. Surprise! Dolls, so you’d better get one of the most popular toys of 2018 before they’re gone. The cool part about this toy is the more than 85 surprises inside. If that’s not enough, it has more features than I can name, including a working elevator.

Melissa and Doug Fresh Mart Grocery Store

Melissa and Doug toys are built to last, and this grocery store will provide hours of fun for any child. I had a similar set as a kid, and it saw its fair share of playtime. It wasn’t nearly as nice as this, though. The frame is wooden, and it has a conveyor belt, a credit card machine, a cash drawer and a bagging area.
