Okay so here's my gripe with the old Series 2 Tivo. I couldn't record one channel and watch another channel at the same time. Also, those two little "thingys" (technical term is IR Cable) that sit on top of the cable box are supposed to change the channel, but don't always work. Picture this: You run home eager to watch a show Tivo is suppose to record, but then realize Tivo didn't change the channel. I hate when this happens! The new Tivo takes care of this plus offers much, much more. You can record two channels at once and watch a third channel. Plus it uses cablecards instead of the bulky cable box. Plus this is the one and only DVR with THX certification. And did I mention that it records in HD and has up to 300 hours of recording space. If you are a TIVO junky or if you know one, you need this product.
